Position Overview:

Sets up, oversees, and operates equipment and files to convert the material into a finished product in accordance with specifications, procedures, and practices.

Primary Position Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Follow standard processes and procedures as established and assigned the by Operations Manager and/or Area Team Leader.
  • Achieve optimum product quality through proper handling of consumables, materials, and machines
  • Perform established quality checks and make necessary adjustments to match customer specifications
  • Perform necessary in-process quality checks to ensure output is consistent from start to finish
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and workspaces
  • Respond to “rush” or urgent requests without prior notice, while still maintaining accuracy and deadline requirements.
  • Be flexible to work alternate shift schedules in order to meet customer demands during peak periods.
  • Operate post-printing press equipment of various types
  • Conduct production quality audits and security counts
  • Maintain all security regulations on the handling of the product
  • Effectively communicate and interact in a manner that is professional and clear to all levels of fellow ASI team members, customers, and other parties.
  • Ability to maintain good attendance
  • Experience of working within ISO or documented quality system preferred.

  Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to follow procedures well (process-driven)
  • Sensitivity to customer needs and stringent delivery requirements
  • Available to work overtime as needed
  • Effectively communicate and interact in a manner that is professional and clear to all levels of fellow ASI team members, customers, and other parties.
  • Ability to maintain good attendance
  • Experience of working within an ISO or documented quality system
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in the English language
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work as part of the team in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 50 pounds occasionally is required
